SURRENDER IS NOT AN OPTION

When he was a little boy, he started swimming because of a knee problem: his knees were too close together. So the doctor advised him to swim.

From that time until he retired at age 31, the pool was his life. As a child and teenager, Brenton won every championship he entered. At the age of 11, after seeing the Olympic torch pass by at the 1992 Olympics, Brenton's biggest sporting challenge was forged: "I want to go to the Olympics. So at the age of 19 (2000) he tried for the first time to make the time needed to go to the Olympics. He was 17 hundredths of a second short.

Persistent, he set his sights on going to the 2004 Games. After going to Australia to change his training style, he ended up with an injury that left him unable to train until a month and a half before the qualifying event. This time he was 8 tenths of a second off the pace.

After considering abandoning his dream, he decided to prepare again to go to the 2008 Games. This time he had 3 opportunities: European Championship, Spanish Championship and an international championship held in Barcelona. After some physical problems before the European Championship that prevented him from achieving his goal, he finally achieved it in the Spanish Championship.

For him, that moment was spectacular. He managed to qualify 14th in the world and, most importantly, fulfill his dream: to go to the Olympic Games.

"I have always been very entrepreneurial, with many ideas or changes to evolve existing things. Now I have focused on the shortcomings I found in sport when I was a professional athlete and they have turned into real business opportunities worldwide. My goal right now is to develop my projects to help athletes, and all kinds of people, to improve their performance or physical condition. What I have experienced firsthand is that health is a PRIORITY."
